Florida is situated in the southeast of the United States of America. Most of Florida is surrounded by coast line with the Atlantic ocean to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. The tip of Florida experiences hot tropical weather whilst the rest of Florida still hot experiences sub-tropical. Florida is the fourth most popular state in the United States to visit. The climate is generally determined by precipitation rather than temperature. The winters and autumn are usually dry and cool, the spring and summers can be hot and wet. If you are coming to Florida to experience the city as well as the beach there are several cities to choose from. Miami is probably the most well known however isn't the largest - Jacksonville has the highest population throughout the whole of Florida State. Most people however flood to Florida for the sun, sea and surf. Being mostly made up of peninsula there are so many beaches to choose from. The holiday activities available are usually on most peoples 'to do before I die' list; such as swimming with dolphins. Florida is a beautiful 'sunshine' state and surely should be on your list.
